As you know, I have similar opinions on the matter. And about 50% of the "A"-rated 3D animations are the equivalent of somebody playing with naked Barbie dolls...
"'Somebody' will be able to fap to this..." is good and well as a criterion. I have no qualms rating vore- or inflation-fetish animations 2 stars - even if they are 'not for me'. But only as long as _noticeable_ effort was put in. But "built-in jiggle-physics" are not enough. If the "details" don't move, if the lips remain stiff and unmoving, or if there is no correlation between the action on the screen and the sound, that's 0 stars right there.
Same if it's 40 seconds of the same 3-second loop followed by a 20 second "follow me on Patreon / SubscribeStar" or "buy the full animation on itch".
I really don't mind 'short loops' in general. 'What' I dislike is the dishonesty and that the artists have so little faith in their potential fans that they feel the need to include an advertisement that is more dominant than a watermark in the actual video. _Every_ site that hosts "smut" has a generous section for the description where promotional links can go...
Like everyone else, NSFW-artists have to eat. But there _is_ actual money to be earned with NSFW-animation. Some artists can 'actually' earn a living with NSFW-content. Of course there is struggle, but acting 'that desperate' is just off-putting... If they were serious about wanting that money, they'd focus on their presentation more than on their "Ad-breaks".
Good opinion and good advice I see. Sucks that they throw censorship at the end of the video saying “patron” Perhaps they also post wips as a rush too? Well at least I blammed one nsfw stickman video from yesterday and it was cringe to watch. I’m happy that’s gone because it’s very rare to remove garbage A rated video.
@Platzsoldier I'd say "It depends..."
They have to sell 'something' and I 'get' censoring the crotch-region or cutting off/blurring out the climax. But if their "taster/teaser" is 3 seconds of content, customers are _not_ going to have any high hopes.
But some artists censoring nipples... That's inexcusable. That's straight-up _vandalism_ of their own art and self-sabotage. "Why not censor the 'eyes' while you're at it...?!"
I wish those artists would learn more about advertising before... they advertise... *shakes head in disbelief*
As for the WIP (Work in Progress) submissions: Some works are actually worth a look and show off the artistic process enough that they could be used as teaching material or references. I remember one from today where the character shakes their "fin-ear". I wouldn't want to archive every single one of those, but I can definitely see the value as a reference for other artists. Because that's stuff we actually do not have a whole lot of... Similar to 'realistic walk-cycles for animals', or 'studies with complex shadow and lighting situations'.
I think I remember that 'stick figure video' you're talking about. ;D That was "really something"... I was ready to vote that one 2.5 to 3 stars because I expected some amazing NG-specific commentary at the end - akin to what 'the one with the bottle' did. But then it turned out it was "just that". 'Wasted potential for a great joke', I'd say. Instead that uploader chose to be their own parody.
@HerrGammelig As for the "memes": They have reached the point where I vote 0 first and 'then' watch the submission. (Because I have a slow connection and usually have to wait a few seconds for votes to count. Voting early saves me having to pause/mute them in at least 95% of the cases. I can just quit immediately.)

I have similar opinions about those short tiktok trend animations like porque te vas, egyptian dance, soup, others. I generally don't mind animation memes but these are literally just the exact same video just with the character swapped out.
