You are completely right and I agree. I vote very low those types of games. Another tip I would like to suggest is taking note of the title of the game and the profile of the user in case they might re-upload the submission whether it's a movie or a game. This way you get free, extra blam points *laughs*
But yeah, seeing so many low effort games it's frustrating.

@Gekkotsuki Those people are mostly stat whores, they don't care about anything but their numbers. This is why it's important to remind to those who care the importance to take time and watch/test things. Agreed on the part these type of people exist though.
@Platzsoldier You are welcome. That tip is part of a more proactive approach in hunting blams because I think blams are equally as important as saves in speeding up the rank level and so the voting power. This way one can have a stronger impact on awarding deserving submissions.
What's important is to educate the future generations of B/P grinders in being responsible and fair when voting things, so the Portal can be a more balanced and clean environment.

I had been reviewing a lot of scratch games and had gave them a low rating but i am pretty sure most of them had got saved and it is bit weird how a bunch of people before me would even want to stuff like that at all.
They probably think these games are funny, edgy, easy to play or just cringe so they voted 5. Unfortunately we will never know who’s responsible of voting 5 on these 2 stars garbage games.
@AlexToolStudio EGB never was a blam club, their stance was removing actual problematic submissions that could jeopardize the website.
i haven’t been active on Newgrounds in recent months, but i just scored 8 blams from voting last night, so there is still obituary activity. i imagine these people are genuinely voting on how the submission was, rather than voting on if it should remain. Newgrounds is the only website that allows for voting out uploads, so i imagine some users aren’t familiar with its content control ethics. community-driven websites will naturally be prone to having issues like this, and it IS annoying.

I agree, they should bring back the words that said "Ass-kissers and haters aren't allowed" or something, back. Or as a less edgy alernative, just a basic warning above the review box about this stuff.

If you've been around in newgrounds for more than a year, you'd know that this site is known for "low effort" games, take pico's school for example, the gameplay and graphics are terrible, yet it is pretty much the mascot of newgrounds
How come pico game is crap? That game probably took like a week to program that game. As amateur of fact that game is way better then those garbage games I witness. How come a tic tac toe game got passed and took only 30 minutes to create and passed. You’re saying you wanted to hurt tom fulp website by putting garbage games to the game portal. Please come up with a good common sense. Sorry for my anger disagreement but this is not a good debate I hear.

You're not wrong, but it's not like there's something we can do about this either.
There will always be extreme people that just don't care enough for the Portal maintenance to take the time to watch the animations/test the games Under Judgment and give them a fair vote according to their characteristics, and that instead they'll just "fifen" (vote 5) or "zero-bomb" (vote 0) everything they find, no matter what.
It's what we have to deal with.
